Hello Friends !

I would like to welcome you to my Blog “Powerful God – Practical Faith.” Thank you for taking the time to stop by and see what its all about !

A Little About Me:

I was born and raised in Detroit Michigan, along with my brother and sister, to two loving, Christian parents, who are now passed away and very much missed. I graduated from John J. Pershing High School in Detroit. After High School, I attended Macomb Community College in Warren Michigan, earning an Associates Degree in Industrial Technology. I continued my education at Tennessee State University, earning a Bachelor of Professional Studies in Organizational Leadership.

Most of my professional career has been in the automotive industry, with positions in Vehicle Simulation Testing,  Quality Engineering, Quality Engineering Supervision, and currently, Corporate Quality.

However, my most valued positions held are that of “Husband” and “Father”. I have had the privilege of being married to my wonderful wife, Yvonne, for 25 years. We have 4 great kids:  Amethyst, Timothy, Titus, and Makayla. We are very proud of them and anxious to see what God will do with their lives. We currently reside in Tennessee.

I have always enjoyed writing, especially when it was related to the Christian life. I have always desired to put what I learned from my personal study of the scriptures into print. In 2007, I published a book titled: “A Matter of Resistance – Overcoming Sin as God Intended”, which was a book to show Christians how the Holy Scriptures teach us to resist sin in our lives. I hope to write more books in the very near future. Hopefully having this blog, and you as an audience, will give me even a greater motivation and responsibility to study and develop more Christian books and materials for both your benefit and mine.

The purpose I hope to accomplish on this blog is the following:

For the Christian:

  • To motivate you to constantly seek a clear, logical and plain truth of the Holy Scriptures, apart from denominational bias or traditions.
  • To encourage you to always test your beliefs, motivations, and behavior against the teaching of Scripture, knowing that the Bible should always be your final authority.
  • To help you recognize that having this incredible sense of the presence of God, along with His divine strength, peace and contentment in your life is most evident when you desire and simply live out what the scriptures teach.
  • To show you that, contrary to what passes off as “miraculous”, God is shown to be immeasurably powerful when your faith is biblically practical.

For the curious and questioning non-Christian friend:

  • To help the you understand what the Gospel message “really” is, apart from what it has become in our modern world.
  • To provide some clarity on what a Christian truly is and should be like, but sadly, in many cases, unlike in practice, to their detriment and yours.
  • To provide for you a Christ-centered response to our modern culture and current events.
  • To give you answers to the reservations, concerns, and issues you have with Christians.
  • To be a part of God’s means by which He draws you to Himself and you become a genuine follower of Jesus Christ. After all, that is our real desire.

I have a lot to learn as a “blogger” but I hope to make this site very informative, thought provoking, fun, but most of all, a place where Christ is made known in both word and work.

Thanks again for coming by and I pray this will be a great site for you to continue visiting.

I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me. “Galatians 2:20”
